Nature softens our urban landscapes linear and hard shapes, encloses and protects us but will always reclaim it's place, serving as a gentle reminder that our structures are temporary, while mother nature is eternal.

I often wonder at how many people this view has travelled with, through pivotal moments in life, whether through periods of health, sickness, the joys of birth, the sadness of death, or through the memories evoked by the ringing bells of St. Mary's Church, the cheers from the GAA pitch, or walks up to the cross, it has been a constant vista for so many people of the town and county. I find a real beauty in that connection, and feel comfort from a view that's such a constant in a changing world.
